Haiti Update:
PWS&D continues to support earthquake-affected people in Haiti. In recent weeks, 22 large tent schools allowed 4000 students to resume classes in Leogane, a region in which 95% of the schools were destroyed or badly damaged. Teachers are being trained to helpl children get access to education and overcome from trauma they experienced during the earthquake and its aftermath. To date, Presbyterians in Canada have given over 1.5 million dollars to support Haiti Relief through PWS&D.
